A gangster sci-fi film by Ian Tuason.
"The Young N Heatless" is "Menace II Society" meets "District 9" about an 'original gangster' releasing from a decades-long prison sentence returning to his old housing projects plagued with gang violence and now, alien weapons, where he meets a single mother and her teenage son neck-deep in trouble with a rival gang, who offer him a final chance at redemption from his past deeds that made him notorious.
The screenplay is currently in development, and mixes the gritty realism of the Hughes Bros' "Menace II Society"...
...with sci-fi elements like Neill Blomkamp's "District 9"...
...and Rian Johnson's "Looper"...
...shot in a style that juxtaposes the sci-fi world with the criminal underworld, like Gessafellstein's music video "Hate or Glory".
